Trade-in menu S3 update

Trade-in menu

See also: Trading, Non-Crate Items

The trade-in system was introduced on June 20, 2016 in Patch v1.19.[1] It allows players to exchange five non-crate items of the same rarity to receive one randomly drawn item of the next-highest rarity, all the way up to Black Market Items.[2] In Patch v1.74, the ability to trade in Blueprints was added.[3]

Players may trade in items via the “Manage Inventory” option in the "Garage" sub-menu. From there, players can select items to trade in and confirm the transaction.

  • For every five Uncommon items that are traded in, one random Rare item is drawn in exchange.
  • For every five Rare items that are traded in, one random Very Rare item is drawn in exchange. Rare Blueprints can only be traded with other items of the same series, and exchanging five of them will give a Very Rare Blueprint of that same series.
  • For every five Very Rare items that are traded in, one random Import from that series is drawn in exchange. Since August 4, 2017, when non-crate Very Rare items are traded in, the player will receive a painted variant of a Common vehicle or Common rocket boost, classified as Import.[2] Very Rare Blueprints can only be traded with other items of the same series, and exchanging five of them will give an Import Blueprint of that same series.
  • For every five Import items from the same series that are traded in, one random Exotic from that series is drawn in exchange. For every five non-crate Import items that are traded in, players will receive a painted variant of a Common wheel, classified as Exotic.[2] Import Blueprints can only be traded with other items of the same series, and exchanging five of them will give an Exotic Blueprint of that same series.
  • Since the Free To Play update, 5 Exotic non-crate items can be traded up for a Black Market item from the updated pull of drops including any Black Market released from Champion 1 Series up to Vindicator Series.
    • Before this update, Exotic non-crate items could not be traded in for Black Market items, because there were no non-crate Black Market items. Exotic blueprints could (and still can) be traded in with others from the same series for a Black Market item of that series.[3]

There is a revamped trade-in menu coming with the Season 3 update on April 6.[4] All items from your inventory will be possible for trade-ins which will be organized into 3 categories listed below:

The items in this menu will be organized by rarity and will also show you how many trade-ins you can make.

  • Note: Following this update Blueprints and items from Competitive Tournaments can be traded in regardless of their series, meaning that you can trade in: 3 Blueprints from Ferocity Series and 2 from Momentum series which will give you these chances for the outcoming blueprint: 60% for Ferocity and 40% for Momentum series blueprint.[4]
