Tournament Cups are the item packs which can be purchased using Tournament Credits. Winning or playing in higher-ranked Tournaments will unlock different cups with different chances or getting a Uncommon, Rare, Very Rare, Import, Exotic, and Black Market item. The Cups are called Prospect, Challenger, All-Star, and Champion—with Prospect being the cheapest and least rewarding Cup, and Champion being the most expensive, most rewarding, and hardest to unlock. Once you redeem credits on the Tournaments Cup of your choice, the item will show to you with it's description of item name, paint and/or certification. There is no animation shown like it is with Drops. You can hear the sound of rarity when you redeem the Tournament Credits on one of the Tournament Cups.
Prospect Cups cost 1200 Tournament Credits. This cup is unlocked for everyone straight away. This cup usually gives uncommon or rare items but has a chance to give higher rarity. They costed a 1000 Tournament Credits before Free To Play during Beta-Testing on Steam and in Season 5.
Challenger Cups cost 4000 Tournament Credits. This cup is unlocked upon placing Top 8 or better in Gold Tournament. This cup gives mostly Uncommon, Rare, and Very Rare items, with occasional imports or better.
All-Star Cups cost 12000 Tournament Credits. This cup is unlocked upon placing Top 8 or better in Diamond Tournament. This cup will give you only very rare or better items.
Chromatic Cups cost 20000 Tournament Credits. This cup is unlocked upon finishing a Grand Champion or better Tournament. This cup will give you only very rare or better items that are always painted.
