A painted item is like a regular item, but will be partially or fully recolored. The ability to obtain painted items was added on June 20, 2016.[1][2]

A painted item will keep the rarity of the base item, with the following exceptions:

  • Painted common toppers are listed as uncommon.
  • Painted common bodies and rocket boosts are listed as import.[3]
  • Painted common wheels are listed as exotic. Painted common wheels obtained prior to August 3, 2017, are listed as uncommon.[3]

Bodies, decals, rocket boosts and wheels obtained from crates can be painted.
