A painted item is like a regular item, but will be partially or fully recolored. The ability to obtain painted items was added on June 20, 2016.[1][2]

A painted item will keep the rarity of the base item, with the following exceptions:

Bodies, decals, rocket boosts, Trails, Player Banners, Avatar Borders, Goal Explosions and wheels obtained from Blueprints, Drops, Tournament Cups and Rocket Pass can be painted.

Double Painted[]

The Double Painted item increase only applies to Crates and Trade-Ins. The last time the Double Painted Event was available was during Rocket League's 4th Anniversary.[4] The normal chance for getting Painted items is 25%. Double Painted weekends increased said chance to 50%.

List of Available Colors[]

There are a total of fourteen possible colors that a painted item can be available in. Not all painted items are available in all colors as some colours may look too similar to the unpainted versions of the item.

  • Black
  • Burnt Sienna
  • Cobalt
  • Crimson
  • Forest Green
  • Gold (Introduced in Season 7)
  • Grey
  • Lime
  • Orange
  • Pink
  • Purple
  • Saffron
  • Sky Blue
  • Titanium White

Unobtainable Colors[]

There are currently only 4 unobtainable colors in the game. These are only able to be used through modding. Only certain items have variants for these colors.

  • Onyx
  • Platinum
  • Rose Gold
  • White Gold
