NFL Opening Season is an event that ran from September 9, 2021 to September 16, 2021. It is a partnership with NFL in celebration of the NFL 2021 season. The event coincided with the release of the NFL Fan Pass 2021.

It featured the return of Gridiron game mode, based on American football. The mode uses a special event-exclusive arena, Champions Field (NFL).

During the event, players could complete three challenges to unlock the NFL-themed rocket boost and topper.
