Frosty Fest was the second special event to be introduced to Rocket League and uses "Snowflakes" in-game currency. The event has (so far) returned each year for the following periods of time:

Official synopsis

"Celebrate the season of giving and collect Snowflakes at the end of online matches. Then, redeem your flakes for Holiday-themed rewards! You can also collect and open new randomly-dropped Event Crates full of exclusive content (Unlocked Crates are also available to purchase)!"

There’s also the ‘Golden Gift’, which contains items from the Zephyr, Impact and Overdrive Blueprint Series.

There’s also the ‘Golden Gift’, which contains items from the Nitro, Turbo, Overdrive and Secret Santa Crate. Remember, once you redeem your Snowflake for a Golden Gift, no Key or Decryptor is required to open it.
