The Rocket Pass is a time-limited progression system that gives several ways to earn new content in Rocket League. There are several Rocket Passes every year, with an emphasis on new, unique content for each Pass.[1][2]

All items from Rocket Pass 1 can be freely traded;[1] however, starting with Rocket Pass 2,[3] items in the Premium Upgrade path for Tiers 1-70 cannot be traded, 'Pro Tier' items (i.e. Tier 71 and above) and Free items can still be traded with other players.[4]

Pro Tiers: Starting with v1.92, Pro Tiers purchase eligibility will depend on a player’s Rocket Pass Tier at the time of purchase

  • Players at Tiers 1-40 can purchase any Tier bundle
  • Players at Tiers 41-58 can purchase up to 12 Tiers
  • Players at Tiers 59-64 can purchase up to 6 Tiers
  • Players at Tiers 65-69 can purchase one Tier at a time
  • Players at Tiers 70 or above can still unlock Pro Tiers via progression

Rocket Pass Premium: Players on the free Rocket Pass track at Tier 59 or higher will be able to purchase Rocket Pass Premium, but will not be able to purchase the Premium + 12 Tiers bundle

List of Rocket Passes[]

Below is a list of all Rocket Passes that have been released to date. Click the links to view information about that specific pass and its items.

Note: Rocket Pass will no longer be numbered on its own, and will instead be an extension of the competitive season it is released with.

Legacy Rocket Passes[]

Free and Premium[]

The free Rocket Pass has rewards that unlock automatically, allowing everyone to earn free new battle-car customization items, Player Banners, and in-game Titles.

If you are looking for additional content to unlock, you can choose to purchase the Premium Rocket Pass upgrade for one thousand Credits (USD 9.99 or regional equivalent). This comes with even more content, including new premium customization items, including premium battle-cars, premium Player Banners, premium Titles, and Credits, You also unlock ‘XP Boosts’ that multiply your earned XP throughout the Rocket Pass, as well as ‘XP Awards’ that can help you advance through Rocket Pass more quickly.

You're able to upgrade to premium at any time while a Rocket Pass is active without losing any progress - you immediately receive premium rewards up to your current pass tier.

If you are interested in purchasing the Premium upgrade, you will be able to view every piece of its content before upgrading, so you will know exactly what items are coming your way before you buy.

Tiers, Pro Tiers and Tiering Up[]

Each time you level up while Rocket Pass is active, you earn one Pass Tier. The more Tiers you earn, the more rewards you unlock. If you want those Premium rewards sooner than later, you can also ‘Tier Up’ by purchasing Tiers outright with Credits.

Once you've unlocked all of the available Tiers in your Pass, you can begin earning ‘Pro Tiers’ if you've purchased the Premium upgrade. Each Pro Tier rewards you with a random Painted and/or Certified version of a Premium Rocket Pass item you've already unlocked. There are no duplicate rewards from Pro Tiers unless you've completed the full set of each Paint Color and Certification for the current Pass.

F.A.Q.[]

What do I need to do to start earning Rocket Pass rewards?
Nothing! Just play the game online to earn free rewards. You can purchase Premium at any time for additional items and you’ll automatically receive the Premium rewards for every Tier up to your current one.
What happens when Rocket Pass ends?
You’ll keep all Free and Premium rewards you’ve earned from this Rocket Pass. When the next Rocket Pass begins, all players start at Tier 1.
How do challenges work?
All players get three Weekly Challenges every week, while Rocket Pass Premium owners receive three additional Weekly Challenges for a total of six. Complete Weekly Challenges for XP and items.
Can I go back and complete challenges from previous weeks?
No. Weekly Challenges expire each Wednesday and are replaced by new ones.
Do I get anything for completing all the Season Challenges?
Yes! Complete all your free Season Challenges and earn a Rare, Very Rare, and Import Drop!
How long will it take to unlock every tier in Rocket Pass?
We estimate that Rocket Pass will take about 60+ hours to complete, excluding Pro Tiers. This will vary depending on the Challenges that are completed and what other in-game events are going on when you're playing — Double XP weekends, etc.
Can you trade Rocket Pass rewards with other players?
Premium Rewards (Tiers 1-70) cannot be traded. Pro Rewards after Tier 70 are player tradable. All free rewards are tradable with other players.
How do the Pro Tiers work?
Each Pro Tier contains a Painted item from a select list of Rocket Pass Premium Rewards. Players who have Rocket Pass Premium will be able to see 30 Tiers beyond their current Tier. Instead of Pro Tiers Rewards being random, you'll now be able to see the exact item that each Tier unlocks beyond Tier 70. Special Edition items can be unlocked prior to Tier 70, and Painted variants will unlock as Pro Rewards.
Do Rocket Pass rewards affect my competitive experience?
No, all Rocket Pass items are purely cosmetic and don’t affect gameplay or offer anyone a competitive advantage! They're intended as a fun addition to personalize your car and show off while on the pitch.
Are there Certified items in Rocket Pass?
Certified items are no longer available in Rocket Pass. They are still available in the Item Shop and as Blueprints.
Will every Rocket Pass item drop as Pro Tier rewards?
No. Only a select list of items will be available from Pro Tiers, which are hand-picked by the Psyonix development team, taken from the list of Premium Rewards in the Pass.
Can you purchase single or multiple Tiers?
Yes, you can purchase a single Tier or bundles of Tiers using Credits. There are four options offered in the game.
Does Rocket Pass affect the Blueprint system?
Blueprints will drop outside of the Rocket Pass system. You can earn Credits with Rocket Pass Premium, which can be used to build items from Blueprints or in the Item Shop.
