Player banners, released on September 28, 2017, are a profile customization feature which can be seen during Rocket League matches after a player scores, or their team wins. Some player banners have customizable background colors, while others may be animated.

Official synopsis[]

Quote_icon  Customize your Rocket League experience with 'Player Banners!' These are unique graphics equippable by players that surround their name and in-game title. They appear during goal replays and on the post-game celebration screen.[1]  Quote_icon

Legacy[]

A number of common and uncommon banners also have Legacy rarity if obtained before the Free To Play update.

Esports Shop[]

These players banners were only purchasable in the Esports Shop for 100 Tokens each. In Patch v1.88, the Esports Shop was revamped with a new interface and some different items.

Limited[]

Competitive Season 5 (Legacy)[]

Players who participated in the Competitive playlists during Season 5 (Legacy) received limited player banners as a reward when the season ended. Player Banners were awarded to a player based on the highest season reward level they reached. These player banners cannot be traded with other players. The original banners where Dragon-themed and different from other standard banners. Psyonix created additional standard-themed banners after a few weeks due to community feedback.[2][3]

Competitive Season 7 (Legacy)[]

Players who participated in the Competitive playlists during Season 7 (Legacy) received limited player banners as a reward when the season ended. Player Banners were awarded to a player based on the highest season reward level they reached. These player banners cannot be traded with other players.[4]

Competitive Season 14 (Legacy)[]

Players who participated in the Competitive playlists during Season 14 (Legacy) received limited player banners as a reward when the season ended. Player Banners were awarded to a player based on the highest season reward level they reached. These player banners cannot be traded with other players.

Fan Rewards[]

Fan Rewards Phase 2

Players who registered for Fan Rewards and watched the RLCS and RLRS enabled for item drops on Twitch starting from March 10, 2018 could receive this limited items as a random drop during the live broadcast.

Players who registered for Fan Rewards and watched the RLCS, CRL and RLRS enabled for item drops on Twitch starting from September 1, 2018 could receive this limited items as a random drop during the live broadcast.

Players who registered for Fan Rewards and watched the RLCS, CRL and RLRS enabled for item drops on Twitch starting from March 30, 2019 could receive this limited items as a random drop during the live broadcast.

The Birthday Bash and Battle-Cars Anniversary player banners were available for purchase as part of the 2018 Anniversary Event. Both cost 75 "Balloons".

Beach Blast[]

The Ice Pop and S'mored player banners were available for purchase as part of the 2018 Beach Blast event. Both cost 75 "Shells".

The Howler player banner was available for purchase as part of the 2017 Haunted Hallows event. It cost players 40 "Candy Corn".

Haunted Hallows 2018

The Ghost Story player banner was available for purchase as part of the 2018 Haunted Hallows event. It cost players 80 "Candy Corn".

Haunted Hallows 2019

The Demogorgon and Scoops Ahoy player banners were available as part of the 2019 Haunted Hallows event. The Demogorgon banner could be purchased for 80 "Candy Corn" while the Scoops Ahoy banner was a free login reward.

HeatSeeker[]

The following player banner could be obtained by logging into Rocket League anytime while the Heatseeker event was live.

Lucky Lanterns[]

This player banner was available for free as part of the 2020 Lucky Lanterns event. The item was received upon login in for the first time when the event was live.

Radical Summer[]

These player banners were available for free as part of the 2019 Radical Summer event.

Spike Rush[]

This player banner was available for free to anyone who logged into Rocket League while Spike Rush was live from April 2, 2020 - April 6, 2020.

Spring Fever[]

The Shooting Star and Soccer Splash player banners were available for purchase as part of the 2018 Spring Fever event. They cost respectively 15 and 25 "Flowers".

Twitch Prime[]

The following player banner can be obtained by linking your Twitch Prime account with your Rocket League platform of choice.[5]

WWE[]

The following player banners can be randomly obtained by going to redeem code and entering wrestlemania, wwedads or rlbirthday all three codes can be entered to gain six items. These codes were valid until December 31, 2018.

X Games[]

The following banners were avalible in the Item Shop for a limited time between January 21-24, 2021 and January 28-31, 2021. They are free to purchase.

Zag Toys[]

The following banner can be obtained by redeeming the code that comes in the Zag Toys Customizable Battle-Cars Octane Single Pack.

NIKE FC Cup[]

These player banners (Federation Banners) were available for free as part of the 2022 NIKE FC Cup event.

The DC Comics and The Flash player banners were introduced as part of the 2017 update to the Rocket League Collector's Edition, this player banners in the Collector Edition are classed as of Limited quality.

The Trimpact BL player banner can be obtained by downloading the PlayStation®Plus Pack from the PlayStation Store.

Xbox Customization Pack[]

The Xbox banner originally could only be obtained for Xbox Game Pass users however on July 15th, 2019, the Customization Pack was made available to all Rocket League owners on Xbox One.[6]
