The Llama-Rama event is a crossover between Rocket League and Fortnite Battle Royale. The first Llama-Rama was live from September 26, 2020 through October 12, 2020,[1] and a second Llama-Rama with new challenges and items will return from March 25, 2021 through April 9, 2021.[2]
The first Llama-Rama occurred right after the Free To Play update of 2020, and it introduced a new format for events, which subsequent events have also used. In this revamped format, players have to complete Event Challenges to unlock the items from the event (this replaces the event currencies of previous events). Each Event Challenge you complete grants a specific Event Item, once you claim it from the Challenges Menu.[1]
On March 22, 2021 it was announced that the Llama-Rama event would make a return with new content, to close out Season 2. This was a surprise to players, as Psyonix had not previously described it as a recurring event. The second Llama-Rama was live from March 25, 2021 through April 9, 2021.[2]
So far the event has returned each year for the following periods of time:
- September 26, 2020 to October 12, 2020
- March 25, 2021 to April 9, 2021
