The DeLorean Time Machine is a battle-car released on October 21, 2015,[4] which could only be obtained from the Back to the Future DLC pack.

Unlike the car from the Back to the Future films, it does not have the ability to hover, of course; however, when it is above a certain altitude in the stadium, the wheels rotate down and shoot out rays of propulsion, like in the films.

The DeLorean Time Machine is not compatible with any decals, wheels, rocket boosts, trails, or anything else besides the items in the DLC pack that go with it. It can only have its paint color and goal explosion changed freely.

From October 21 to October 25, 2021 DeLorean Time Machine is back in the item shop, this time with new Reel Life decal and wheels. [5]

Trivia[]

  • The in-game files for DeLorean Time Machine refer to it as "GreyCar".[11]
  • The DeLorean Time Machine was released on the date that Marty McFly arrives in the future in Back to the Future Part II.
  • When the DeLorean Time Machine is demolished by another Battle-Car, the "BOOM!" effect is replaced with "OUTATIME!", and the car disappears, leaving behind two burning trails flying upward and a spinning license plate, referencing when the DeLorean first went through time in the movie.
    • This is one of two cars to have a custom demolition effect, with the other being the Batmobile (2016).
