Certified items are special items which, when equipped during online matches, record a certain different-than-normal stat for that item. Certified items can be leveled up by achieving the stat being tracked a certain amount of times. Toppers and items from crates (except for paint finishes) can be certified. Certified items will keep the rarity grade of the base item. Certified common items, however, are classified as uncommon.

The ability to obtain certified items was added on June 20, 2016.

Certified items are no longer available in Rocket Passes. This change came with the release of Season 3 on April 6, 2021.

Types of Certifications

There are fifteen different certification tags, each tracking a different statistic.

Acrobat	Bicycle Goals	When equipped in an online match, this item keeps track of how many bicycle goals you score.
Aviator	Aerial Goals	When equipped in an online match, this item keeps track of how many aerial goals you score.
Goalkeeper	Saves	When equipped in an online match, this item keeps track of how many saves you make.
Guardian	Epic Saves	When equipped in an online match, this item keeps track of how many epic saves you make.
Juggler	Juggles	When equipped in an online match, this item keeps track of how many juggles you make.
Paragon	MVP	When equipped in an online match, this item keeps track of how many times you get MVP.
Playmaker	Assists	When equipped in an online match, this item keeps track of how many assists you make.
Scorer	Goals	When equipped in an online match, this item keeps track of how many goals you score.
Show-Off	Backwards Goals	When equipped in an online match, this item keeps track of how many backwards goals you score.
Sniper	Long Goals	When equipped in an online match, this item keeps track of how many long goals you score.
Striker	Shots on Goal	When equipped in an online match, this item keeps track of how many times you make a shot on goal.
Sweeper	Clear Balls	When equipped in an online match, this item keeps track of how many times you clear the ball on defense.
Tactician	Center Balls	When equipped in an online match, this item keeps track of how many times you center the ball on offense.
Turtle	Turtle Goals	When equipped in an online match, this item keeps track of how many turtle goals you score.
Victor	Wins	When equipped in an online match, this item keeps track of how many matches you win.

Levels

• Tag level titles and level-up requirements vary depending on the certification type.
• There are ten levels for each tag. The level names are the same on levels 1-5. On levels 6-10, the level names are not consistent between tags, with levels 9 and 10 having a unique level name for each tag.

One Better

"Increase the level of a Certified Item."

This trophy is unlocked when the player upgrades their Certified Item for the first time, so it reaches "Capable" status.

Certifiable

"Earn Veteran status for your Certified Item."

This trophy is unlocked by upgrading a Certified Item three times, so it reaches "Veteran" status.
