Avatar Border

Avatar borders are a customization option in Rocket League. They were added on August 29, 2018 (Patch v1.50), as part of the progression update.

Common[]

The following avatar border is available to all players automatically.

Rare[]

These avatar borders could be randomly obtained by spending Tournament Credits on either the Prospects Cup or Challengers Cup during each Season. It could also be obtained by trading in five uncommon items from the tournament rewards. There are also avatar borders that can be claimed during in-game events such as Shen avatar border.

Very Rare[]

This avatar border could be obtained by completing challenges during NFL in-game event.

Legacy[]

The following avatar border can be obtained by purchasing the Ghostbusters™ Ecto-1 Car Pack DLC.

Limited[]

The following avatar borders can be obtained by leveling up. They cannot be traded between players.

Fan Rewards[]

The following borders can be obtained from Fan Rewards live streams. They can be traded.

Competitive Season 14 (Legacy)[]

The following borders were awarded based on your competitive rank at the end of competitive Season 14 (Legacy).

5th Anniversary[]

The following avatar borders were available as part of the 5th_Anniversary_Event special event. The Frosted Cake avatar border could be purchased for 100 "Balloons" while the Jolted avatar border was free.

Frosty Fest[]

The following avatar borders were available as part of the 2019 Frosty Fest special event. Each avatar border could be purchased for 100 "Snowflakes". The Snowman border could also be earned in the 2020 Frosty Fest event.

Haunted Hallows 2019[]

The following avatar border was available in the Haunted Hallows special event. Each avatar border could be purchased with "Candy Corn".

Lucky Lanterns[]

The following avatar border was available in the Lucky Lanterns special event. The avatar border could be purchased for 100 "Red Envelopes".

Radical Summer[]

The following avatar border was available in the Radical Summer '80s Television special event phase as a free reward. This item can be traded.

Rocket Pass[]

Avatar borders from Rocket Passes are classified as limited rarity. Only borders obtained in the free tiers can be traded.
